Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These are the standards used by the U.S. Department of Justice for the Americans w/Disabilities Act (ADA).
What we've done
- Every page can be used w/a keyboard alone, and a "Skip to content" link jumps past the menu at the top.
- Photos have text descriptions, and every link and button has a name screen readers can announce.
- Text and buttons meet WCAG color contrast levels.
- Links that open a new tab, like online ordering and social media, say so to screen readers.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, the site skips its animations and opening intro. The intro can also be skipped at any time by clicking or tapping it, or by pressing Esc, Enter or the space bar.
- Background music and sound effects are quiet, start only after you interact w/the page, and can be turned off from the round speaker button at the lower left of every page.
- The site works when zoomed to 200% and on phones of any size.
- We test the site w/automated accessibility tools (axe) and by hand, in English, Spanish and Chinese.
Known limits
- Online ordering is provided by Toast, and our social media pages are on Instagram and Facebook. Those sites are run by other companies, so their accessibility is outside our control. If you have trouble ordering online, call us and we'll take your order by phone.
- Some pages are not yet available in Spanish or Chinese. They show in English until their translation is ready.
